Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Qwen-AI.chat (“the Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you browse the Site or use its AI chat. Qwen-AI.chat is an independent third-party website and is not operated, endorsed, or authorized by Alibaba Cloud or the Qwen team. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@qwen-ai.chat.

This summary describes the settings we verified on the date above. Providers, models, limits, and retention settings can change; this policy will be updated when a material change is made.

1. Information you provide

Chat content. When you use the AI chat, we process the messages you submit, any supported image you choose to upload, the generated responses, and technical conversation identifiers needed to keep the session working. Chat content may contain personal information if you include it. Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment data, private health records, confidential business information, or other sensitive data.

Contact and comments. If you email us, use a contact form, or leave a comment, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, message, name, and comment. We use it to respond, moderate spam, maintain records, and protect the Site.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Website request data: IP address, timestamps, requested URLs, browser and device information, referring pages, and security signals may be processed by our web host and Cloudflare when your device connects to the Site.
  • Chat rate-limit data: the active chat plugin is configured to create a salted one-way hash from network information so it can enforce daily quotas without retaining a readable IP in its chat tables.
  • Browser identifiers: the chat uses browser storage for a randomly generated visitor identifier and conversation continuity. Clearing Site data in your browser removes locally stored identifiers and may start a new anonymous session.
  • Usage, advertising, and performance data: Site pages may load Google AdSense and Cloudflare performance/security tooling. Those services can receive online identifiers, device data, IP address, page activity, and consent choices as described in their own policies.

3. How the AI chat processes data

The public interface sends chat inputs from your browser to our WordPress server. Our server sends the content needed for inference to Fireworks AI, which serves the current Qwen-family model. The response returns through our server to your browser. The Site does not currently send public-chat requests directly to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio.

If you attach an image, its content must be transmitted through this path for the selected vision-capable model to process it. The interface currently accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP files up to 5 MB, but availability can depend on the active model and Site configuration.

Fireworks AI processes the input and output as an independent service provider under its terms and data-handling documentation. Provider-side retention, security, and legal obligations are controlled by the provider, not by the WordPress chat-retention setting. Review the Fireworks AI data-handling documentation before sending sensitive or regulated information.

4. Why we process information

  • Provide the Site, generate requested AI responses, and maintain conversation continuity.
  • Apply message, token, file-size, and abuse limits.
  • Detect errors, spam, attacks, fraud, and misuse; investigate incidents; and keep the Site available.
  • Measure page performance and general usage so we can maintain and improve the service.
  • Display and measure advertising, subject to consent requirements where applicable.
  • Respond to messages, comments, complaints, and privacy requests.
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect users and the Site.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to provide a service you request, support our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, comply with a legal obligation, or rely on consent for optional advertising or analytics technologies.

5. Retention

Chat conversations. The active chat plugin is configured to retain conversations and messages in the Site database for 30 days. A scheduled cleanup runs daily to delete chat records older than the configured period. The Site’s public usage quotas reset at 00:00 UTC. This 30-day setting does not define the separate retention periods of Fireworks AI, Cloudflare, the web host, Google, or backups.

Browser storage. Locally stored chat identifiers remain in your browser until they expire, the Site changes them, or you clear Site data.

Security, hosting, advertising, and performance records. These records are retained according to operational needs and the applicable provider settings and policies. We do not state a fixed 90-day server-log period because that duration has not been verified across every infrastructure service.

Contact and legal records. We retain correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, resolve disputes, protect the Site, or meet legal obligations. Deletion may take additional time in restricted backups, which are not used for ordinary access.

6. Service providers and disclosures

  • Fireworks AI: hosted AI inference for the current public chat.
  • Cloudflare: CDN, traffic delivery, security, bot and abuse controls, and performance tooling. Cloudflare receives the network information needed to deliver and protect requests to the Site.
  • Google AdSense: advertising delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Personalized advertising or optional identifiers are used only as permitted by applicable consent settings.
  • Web hosting and WordPress infrastructure: storage, database, backups, logging, and website operation.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not disclose chat content to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio under the current public-chat configuration merely because the underlying model belongs to the Qwen family.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Essential storage and cookies may be used for security, preferences, consent, rate limiting, and session continuity. Cloudflare may set security cookies. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies or similar technologies where permitted. You can use the Site’s consent controls when presented, change browser settings, clear Site data, and manage Google ad preferences. Blocking essential storage can cause the chat, security checks, or preferences to stop working correctly.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, rate limits, scheduled deletion, provider security controls, and Cloudflare protection to reduce risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting information that would cause harm if disclosed, and contact us if you believe Site data has been exposed.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Do not include personal or sensitive information in a chat prompt.
  • Clear cookies and local storage in your browser to remove locally stored Site identifiers.
  • Use available consent controls or browser settings for optional advertising technologies.
  • Email info@qwen-ai.chat to request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability where applicable. Include enough detail to identify the relevant record without sending extra sensitive information.
  • You may complain to your local data-protection authority where that right applies.

Because the public chat does not require an account and uses pseudonymous identifiers, we may be unable to connect a conversation to you unless you provide the relevant browser or conversation information. We may need to verify a request and may retain limited records where law or security requires it.

10. Children and international processing

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request information from them. Providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards.

11. External links

The Site links to Qwen, Alibaba Cloud, Fireworks AI, GitHub, Hugging Face, ModelScope, and other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. A link does not make that service part of Qwen-AI.chat.

12. Changes and contact

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes materially. For privacy questions or requests, email info@qwen-ai.chat or use the contact page.
