These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of Qwen-AI.chat (the “Site”), including its independent English-language guides, model references, comparison pages, public AI chat, and related features. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Independent-site status
Qwen-AI.chat is an independent third-party website. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Group, QwenCloud, or the Qwen team. “Qwen” and other product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to them identify the products and services discussed; they do not imply sponsorship or authorization.
2. What the Site provides
The Site publishes educational information about Qwen models, hosted APIs, pricing, downloads, deployment choices, use cases, and competing AI services. It also provides a public, no-account AI chat when the feature is available. The public chat can accept text and, when supported by the active configuration, optional image input.
At the effective date above, the public chat uses Fireworks AI to serve a Qwen-family model endpoint. The exact provider, model ID, limits, retention settings, and data route can change. The current verified configuration is disclosed in the Privacy Policy. A model or provider mentioned in an article is not necessarily the model or provider used by the Site’s public chat.
The Site is not an official Qwen support channel, does not sell Alibaba Cloud or QwenCloud accounts, and does not provide access to another provider’s account, subscription, service-level agreement, or private console.
3. Eligibility and lawful use
The Site is not directed to children under 13. If you are not legally able to accept these Terms on your own, use the Site only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Do not use the Site where doing so would violate applicable law or a binding obligation that applies to you.
4. AI chat limits and verification
AI responses are generated probabilistically and can be incorrect, incomplete, biased, unsafe, outdated, or inconsistent. A response can sound confident without being true. The Site does not promise that an answer, citation, calculation, code sample, model name, price, or availability statement is accurate for your account, region, provider, or date.
- Verify important claims against current first-party sources.
- Review and test code in a safe environment before running it.
- Do not rely on the Site or its AI output as legal, medical, financial, tax, safety, employment, or other professional advice.
- Keep a qualified human decision-maker responsible for consequential decisions and actions.
- Do not treat a provider benchmark, specification, preview statement, or model-generated result as an independent test by this Site unless a page publishes the exact test method and limitations.
Public-chat limits, supported files, message length, response length, availability, and quotas may be changed or enforced to keep the Site available and safe. The public chat is an interactive website feature, not an API for automated application backends or bulk processing.
5. Your prompts, images, and other submissions
You remain responsible for prompts, images, comments, messages, and other material you submit. Submit only material you have the right to use. You grant the Site a limited permission to process submitted material only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and enforce the service, including transmitting the content to the configured inference and infrastructure providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card data, private health records, identity documents, confidential business information, unlawful material, or any other content that would cause harm if exposed. Do not submit another person’s personal information without an appropriate lawful basis and permission.
At the effective date, the Privacy Policy states that the Site’s chat plugin is configured to retain chat records for 30 days with scheduled daily cleanup. Provider-side, hosting, security, advertising, and backup retention are separate. Read the Privacy Policy before sending content.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Site to:
- break the law, violate another person’s rights, or facilitate fraud, abuse, harassment, exploitation, or violence;
- upload or request malware, stolen credentials, invasive surveillance, or instructions intended to compromise systems or accounts;
- submit sexual content involving minors or any content that exploits or endangers a child;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with Qwen-AI.chat, Alibaba, Qwen, a provider, or any third party;
- probe, attack, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass the Site, its security controls, rate limits, quotas, or access restrictions;
- use bots, scraping, mirroring, or bulk automated requests in a way that burdens the Site or republishes protected content without permission;
- remove notices, falsify source or model information, or present Site content or AI output as an official provider statement; or
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.
We may block requests, limit access, remove content, or suspend a feature when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, the Site, or third parties; respond to abuse; comply with law; or enforce these Terms.
7. Privacy, security, and provider processing
Use of the Site involves processing described in the Privacy Policy. No account is required for the public chat, but that does not mean no data is processed. Network information, browser identifiers, security signals, page activity, prompts, optional images, generated responses, and contact information can be processed depending on how you use the Site.
The Security page explains current safeguards and responsible-use guidance. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for deciding whether the Site and its providers are suitable for the sensitivity, contractual restrictions, and regulatory requirements of your data.
8. Third-party services and links
The Site relies on or links to independent third parties, which can include Fireworks AI, Cloudflare, Google, the web host, Alibaba Cloud, QwenCloud, GitHub, Hugging Face, ModelScope, and other AI or documentation providers. Their services, terms, privacy practices, prices, availability, and outputs are controlled by them. A link does not make a third-party service part of Qwen-AI.chat and is not an endorsement.
If the Site links or routes you to an official Qwen or third-party service, your use of that service is governed by the third party’s terms and policies. Qwen-AI.chat cannot change, restore, refund, or support an account held with another provider.
9. Advertising and affiliate disclosure
The Site may display advertising, including Google AdSense, and may use affiliate links. Advertising or an affiliate relationship does not control editorial conclusions. Ads and related services can process online identifiers, device data, IP address, page activity, and consent choices as described in the Privacy Policy and the provider’s policies. Do not interpret an advertisement as a recommendation or guarantee by Qwen-AI.chat.
10. Site content and intellectual property
Except for third-party materials and trademarks, the Site’s original text, layout, and graphics are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may link to Site pages and make limited quotations where permitted by law, with clear attribution. You may not republish, mirror, sell, or systematically extract substantial Site content without permission.
Dataset license exception
Notwithstanding the general restrictions above and Section 6, site-authored material in a dataset that is expressly marked as licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0) may be shared and adapted under that license. The relevant dataset page defines its version, licensed scope, attribution requirements, and exclusions. These Terms do not impose additional restrictions on rights granted under that license.
For the Qwen Model ID & Lifecycle Resolver, CC BY 4.0 applies only to the extent Qwen-AI.chat owns copyright or database rights in its original selection, arrangement, normalization, and explanatory annotations. It does not license external provider documentation, source pages, quoted material, model weights, code, repository assets, model or product names, logos, trademarks, or linked materials. A record-level license value concerns only the exact model or repository verified at its cited source; the source registry is a citation list, not a grant of permission.
Reasonable access controls against abusive traffic remain applicable to use of the Site, but they do not change the reuse rights in a dataset copy already obtained under CC BY 4.0.
Rights in AI-generated output can vary by law, provider terms, and the rights contained in submitted or generated material. The Site does not promise that an output is unique, protectable, non-infringing, or available for a particular commercial use.
11. Availability and changes
The Site and any feature are provided subject to availability. We may change models, providers, limits, design, content, links, or functionality; pause the chat; correct or remove content; or discontinue a feature. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a fixed model, a fixed quota, or preservation of a conversation beyond the disclosed retention process.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. You use the Site, third-party links, and AI output at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Qwen-AI.chat will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, business, opportunity, or reputation arising from use of or inability to use the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, providers, risks, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a material revision is published. Changes apply prospectively from the posted effective date. If you do not accept an updated version, stop using the Site.
