Category Qwen AI Comparisons

Last verified: August 4, 2026. This hub was checked for comparison architecture and for the current Qwen3.8 Max QwenCloud Marketplace fields. Each competitor article shows its own source-check boundary.

Independent and unofficial: Qwen-AI.chat is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Alibaba Cloud, QwenCloud, Alibaba Group, the Qwen team, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, or DeepSeek. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Use this hub to choose the comparison that matches your decision. It separates managed chat products, API model IDs, provider routes, and downloadable checkpoints rather than declaring one brand a universal winner.

Current Qwen baseline for these comparisons

The production ID qwen3.8-max is the current QwenCloud flagship used as the headline Qwen service in the five comparisons. The model-specific QwenCloud Marketplace page checked August 4 lists a 1M context category, a 131K maximum output, and public PAYG list prices of $2 per 1M input tokens and $6 per 1M output tokens.

Those fields belong to QwenCloud Marketplace. They are not an Alibaba Cloud Model Studio regional quote, a Token Plan credit conversion, a Fireworks price, or a self-hosting cost. A hosted service ID also does not prove downloadable weights. Use the Qwen models reference for lifecycle and identity, the Qwen API guide for route and credential boundaries, the Qwen pricing guide for route-separated cost, and the Qwen download guide for official apps and open-weight checkpoints.

Source-first comparison methodology

  1. Define the object: compare a chat product with a chat product, an API model with an API model, or a specific downloadable checkpoint with a specific checkpoint. Do not merge those lanes.
  2. Record exact identifiers: keep provider, model ID, dated snapshot, endpoint family, region, reasoning mode, tools and service tier together.
  3. Use first-party sources: check the current model page, API reference, pricing page, lifecycle notice, data terms and repository license for the exact route.
  4. Separate specifications from results: context, maximum output, modalities and vendor benchmarks are published specifications or provider claims. They do not prove answer quality, latency, safety or effective long-context recall.
  5. Keep pricing scoped: state currency, unit, input/output/cache treatment, request-size band, tool fees, region, date and provider. Do not move a price between QwenCloud Marketplace, Model Studio, Token Plan, Fireworks or a local deployment.
  6. Test the actual workload: use the same dated prompts and files, explicit pass criteria, repeated runs where outputs vary, and a complete record of errors, refusals, latency, token usage, tool calls and cost.

What this hub does not claim

No login-dependent, cross-provider benchmark was completed for this hub. It does not claim that Qwen, ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini or Grok is universally best. The five linked articles are documentation-based comparisons unless a page publishes a separate live-test record with its exact model IDs, settings, inputs, date, methodology, outputs and limitations.

Provider catalogs change quickly. Recheck the linked first-party source and the exact account console before deployment, and treat Preview, rolling, legacy and retired as different lifecycle states.
